Everybody should be aware of learning disabilities symptoms, especially on children stage. Many wrong perceptions about learning problems make students get bad labeling from everyone around them. In reality, they just need special treatment to help them study well. That’s why inclusion class becomes the best way for students to learn together. But, before going to inclusion school, you should know learning problem characteristics that may occur on your children. Parents could be the first assessor to notice is there anything different on their children before going to psychologist.
More precise diagnosis could be gotten with learning disorder test which conducted by a certified education psychologist. However, parents and teachers could get early diagnosis about the student’s condition. You may start by assessing children’s capability to read. If an elementary student still gets difficulty to read or write on their second class, he/she may have dyslexia condition. Student with dyslexia has problem to make connections between sounds and letters, also with recognizing and spelling words. How many hard the student tries to read or write, he/she still stuck on those difficulties.
Here, more characteristics of people with dyslexia. During conversations, they fail to understand what other people are saying. In class situation, students may get no idea when their teacher explains about something. They need longer time to understand some particular lessons comparing to non-dyslexia people. Besides, they have difficulty to organize either spoken or written language. People with dyslexia often spell wrong on some words. For example, if they actually want to write a-p-p-l-e, the may instead write a-p-l-p-e. This wrong spelling is due to their dyslexia condition.
When going back to their childhood, people with dyslexia may start to speak late. If common toddlers start to speak from 2 years, their speaking ability start comes in older age. So, if your toddlers have delayed on their ability to speak, you may more aware about dyslexia condition. Moreover, people with dyslexia have bad self-expression. They cannot recall well about some particular words, and often use word substitutions like “stuff” and “things”. Comparing to other students, they have trouble to learn new vocabulary, both from hearing or reading.

The characteristics of learning problems are such like the symptoms showing rather different conditions than the normal will be. In understanding learning disability characteristics, it depends on the types of learning disability which are in correlation with the problems in speaking, listening, reading, writing, memorizing, reasoning, or even in perceiving audio visual information. It is assumed that the conceptual and perceptual problems underlie as the reasons children have learning disorder.
First is about learning disability characteristics in reading capability. The common symptoms or characteristics occur in reading disability are slower reading rate, less skills in decoding, less fluent reading, difficult to comprehend or retention of reading materials, and difficult in identifying the ideas in text. Moreover, they are also shows that the difficulties in creating the ideas, in integrating the new ideas with the previous ideas, in mastering vocabularies, in focusing the attention or instruction, and in controlling the eye movement.
Second is about learning disability characteristics in writing. Many students who have problems in writing skills show their difficultness in writing fluently, composing the grammar completely, arranging the written information, and copying the information from the reading materials. Other symptoms like poor in alignment, handwriting, and proofreading also indicates writing disability. Moreover, when the children tend to speak instead of to write, it may come as writing skill problem also.
In mathematic skill disorder, children may show the characteristics like difficult to memorize tables of multiplication, difficult in identifying factors or multiples, rather difficult to interpret mathematical concepts and relevant information through mathematics. Then, they tend to have poor visual perception toward spatial ability, inability of overcoming the mathematical problems, and then inability in comprehending complex calculation.
For whom who have memory and reasoning skills disorder, they usually shows the characteristics like difficult in memorizing or storing and retrieving information and less capable in holding information for sooner use. Then, they also seem difficult in overcoming the cases which are not familiar with them. Also, they are less capable in drawing the conclusion of the certain information.
Then, for the learning disability characteristics of spoken language skills, children usually seem having inability in distinguishing sound, having the difficulty to articulate or deliver their ideas in spoken, and having inability to pronounce the word fluently and to blend the sounds to build words. Also, they tend to get slower in responding or in listening the set of directions and cannot retell the details of information correctly.

Engaging parents in early childhood education promises greater success especially once the kids enter the elementary school. This means involving parents in early childhood settings which is essential to indirectly and directly support the kids’ learning. There are so many activities that can be conducted in terms of having parents as a part of the process. Of course, everything isn’t always as good as expected. But it will always get better with repetition. Parents will witness how their involvements make huge effects to their kids’ education progress. To achieve this goal, some useful tips can be implemented.
Early childhood education with parent’ involvement should promote independence of the kids. It may be hard to believe at first but kids can actually do so many things by themselves. To promote kids’ independence, you must start by expecting more from your kids.
Believe on your kids and let them practice. Kids actually love when they are able and are trusted to do something on their own. So, every time they insist to ask you for doing what they can do by themselves, say no. This will teach them slowly about doing the things they can do themselves. Once, they have done a task; do not redo what they have just because you don’t like the result as it is not perfect. Do not fix what your kids have accomplished because it will make them unwilling to do other task because you seem to never feel satisfied for what they had done.
Other tips for early childhood education that engages parents are related to winning cooperation. This means getting your kids to be willing to do a task instead of shutting themselves. Giving praises is indeed a very effective strategy. Then, you have to develop predictable routines. These routines help them to learn the things they are supposed to do. And every time you find your kids refuse to do something, engage them in a funny game that they love. This way, kids will do the task even without being asked.
Do not forget about disciplining effectively. You must start by redirecting every time you find your kid is about to do something they are not supposed to do. But when your kid had already done something wrong, ask her/him to be involved in righting the wrongs. No matter what happens, you must never delay discipline. Do it as early as possible because it’s an essential part of successful early childhood education.

You wake up early in the mornings, go to the bathroom, have your breakfast ready, get fully dressed and leave before the traffic on the highway gets busy or before your bus leaves you so that you can get to school early and prepare yourself for the classes ahead….. Rewind to the 21st century. You get out of bed at 12:00pm, mid-day. Go to the bathroom. Wash your face. Eat your breakfast and then you go and sit right in front of the computer for your first class to begin. It last for 2 hours then you shut down your computer, go back to bed, and get up in the next 3 hours for your next one-hour class then you go and watch TV after that is done. That is what you call the revolution of online education. Could learning online be the future of education?
In 2015 the e-learning market had an estimate of $166.5 billion and this could increase in 2017 to a whopping $255 billion by 2017. A Global Shapers Survey conducted in 2016 showed that approximately 17, 000 young people from across the world took online courses in the past.
What exactly is online education? Online education has to do with attending classes online for credit courses. They are particularly needed by students attending universities and classes for professional training and certification preparation in foreign languages, nursing, teaching business such as accounts and engineering. Why are so many individuals gravitating to online education? Well for one, online education is very easy for individuals to be accepted into. It does not require as many qualifications as do face-to-face universities and colleges. You can graduate and get a free online degree. Online education is like a start-up for people who would not have had the opportunity to get into a top university. Another reason why online education is the top choice for many persons has to do with the fact that you can do it anywhere and at a time that is most convenient to you. They can do it from the comfort of their home, during the daytime, night time, mid-evening or whenever they want. They do not need to rise early in the morning to catch a bus or drive in the busy traffic. They have the opportunity of waking up 10 minutes before their scheduled classes. Adding to that online learning courses mainly issue written assignment to students and online exams are at times open booked even though they are timed. Nonetheless, students have the advantage of being able to use search engines, get help from family members and friends or even use their textbooks. These are great advantages for many people. Another advantage of online education is that it is much cheaper than face-to-face education for a number of reasons. Not much time is needed to spend with the students. A weekly discussion board is used in the online classes where the lecturers put weekly topics and students output their views. While in a face-to-face institution, a teacher would need to be at school physically to teach students or to give them exams and assignments. There are even cases where students can do free courses and online programs such as learning a foreign language online free or learning some skills such as fashion designing or even cooking. Additionally, there are institutions such as the assignment writing service Australia that provide qualified writers to assist students with their homework assignments. For these reasons and more, many have favored online education. Does this mean that online learning is the future of university education?
To think about it, not all courses can be taught online. Some courses require you to be there physically to become a specialist. For example, the sciences and medicine. To be an engineer requires you to be there physically to practice with chemicals and instruments. Medicine requires students to be there physically to do practical on real patients to see how well they have mastered the courses. Advanced computer training also requires you to be there physically for your training. With this con, it cannot be said for now that online learning is the future education. Many persons still prefer going to face-to-face classes especially because online degrees are not so favored by many countries and companies. The online education revolution has to be accepted by the majority and it MUST have the ability to teach all courses online before it can become the future of education.
